Window Cleaning in Manchester City centre

Another Commercial Window Clean carried out on internal and external windows on three large student accommodation buildings in Manchester City Centre. The clean covered all glazed areas visible from the street as well as the main glass entrances inside each building. Work was scheduled and completed on site in Manchester, concentrating on the areas that see the most use by students and visitors.

For the external work we used a reach and wash system. This method allowed us to clean higher windows from ground level using purified water. The reach and wash system reduces the need for ladders in public areas and lets us work efficiently on multiple floors while keeping equipment footprint on the pavement to a minimum.

Inside each building, we focused on the large glass entrances where dirt and fingerprints build up quickly. For those areas we did internal squeegee work from a telescopic pole. That approach enabled us to reach high internal glazing without bringing in bulky access equipment and keeping disruption to a minimum.

The combination of reach and wash for exteriors and telescopic-pole squeegeeing for interiors gave a consistent finish across every entrance and facade. Each building received the same methodical attention, with the team moving from one elevation to the next and completing internal entrance cleaning once the exterior run for that block was finished.

Health and safety around the city centre sites was considered throughout the job. Work was carried out with the necessary access safeguards in place and with attention to keeping walkways clear for pedestrians entering and leaving the student buildings.

On completion we inspected the cleaned glazing to check for any missed spots and to confirm a uniform appearance on both the external elevations and the internal entrance glazing. The project brief called for a full internal and external clean, and that scope was delivered across all three student accommodation buildings in Manchester city centre.
